ABOUT THE TRANSLATION OF AL-MATHNAWÎ AL-NÛRÎ

Al-Mathnawî al-Nûrî was originally composed in Arabic by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi. At Bediuzzaman's request, his brother, Abdulmecid Nursî, translated selected portions of the work into Turkish, which were subsequently integrated into the Risale-i Nur Collection. Following Bediuzzaman's demise, Abdulkadir Badıllı, a prominent student of his, undertook the comprehensive translation of the entire Arabic text into Turkish for publication.

The English translations presented here correspond to the specific sections utilised within our compilations. To ensure thematic consistency and ease of reference, these translations are cross-referenced with the pagination of Abdulkadir Badıllı’s authoritative Turkish translation. During the English translation process from the Arabic original, both Turkish renditions have been meticulously consulted as primary reference texts.
